As my friend, Ivana, says...it's now "sweater weather." With Fall in the air, and it going on five days since my last canvas, decided a pumpkin was in order.
Painted canvas a light and dark brown color, sprayed Bronze and Gold Color Shine over a stencil for background design. Used stamps here and there as well as rub-ons to make the background a little more interesting. Made the pumpkin body by cutting out five ovals from different orange patterned papers. The stem and leaves I free-hand cut from green paper. Free-hand cutting (meaning you don't trace anything first, you just get a picture in your head and let the scissors fly) is rather fun and pushes your creativity. Got a new black pen that is supposed to write on just about any surface so I tried outlining the image with it...not sure yet if I like the looks of it or not, but was going for a doodly look on this one.
